Growing Thinkers • Inspiring Leaders • Building Lifelong Learners
At Sswings, our Primary Years Programme (Grade 1 & Grade 2) marks the beginning of a child’s exciting journey from learning basic concepts to applying knowledge with confidence, curiosity, and purpose. Guided by our philosophy of “Indian Roots • Global Wings,” we provide an enriching learning environment where academic excellence is thoughtfully balanced with creativity, inquiry, innovation, values, and real-world experiences.
We believe that education should inspire children to think independently, ask meaningful questions, solve problems creatively, communicate confidently, and become compassionate global citizens. Every lesson is designed to connect classroom learning with everyday life, allowing children to experience the joy of discovery while building a strong foundation for future academic success. Our curriculum integrates English Language, English Literature, Hindi Language, Hindi Literature, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), Science, Social Understanding, Arts, Technology, Physical Education, and Life Skills through experiential, project-based, and inquiry-driven learning experiences.
Language is the foundation of learning, and at Sswings we nurture children into confident readers, expressive writers, thoughtful listeners, and articulate speakers. Our English curriculum combines structured language instruction with rich literary experiences that cultivate imagination, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Children develop mastery over grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction, punctuation, comprehension, and written expression through engaging and meaningful learning experiences. They learn to communicate ideas clearly while strengthening accuracy and confidence.
Our literature programme introduces children to carefully selected stories, poems, plays, biographies, and informational texts that broaden their imagination and deepen their understanding of people, cultures, and the world around them.
Through our Story Nest and Reading Studio, children cultivate a genuine love for books, making reading an enjoyable lifelong habit rather than simply an academic skill.
True to our philosophy of Indian Roots, our Hindi programme nurtures a deep appreciation for India’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage while developing confident communication skills.
Children strengthen their abilities in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, sentence formation, and meaningful expression through interactive classroom experiences.
Through inspiring stories, poems, folk tales, biographies, and cultural narratives, children connect with India’s traditions, values, and diverse heritage.
Mathematics at Sswings extends far beyond calculations. Children develop conceptual understanding by exploring mathematical ideas through investigations, manipulatives, games, projects, real-life applications, and collaborative problem-solving.
Children are encouraged to explain their thinking, compare strategies, and solve authentic real-world problems with confidence.
Our EVS curriculum inspires children to become observant, responsible, and environmentally conscious learners. Through inquiry, exploration, outdoor learning, and meaningful projects, children develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their communities, nature, and the interconnected world.
Learning extends beyond the classroom through nature walks, field visits, gardening, environmental campaigns, and community-based projects.
At Sswings, we encourage children to become young scientists, inventors, and innovators. Through our Science Discovery Lab and STEM Learning Studio, children investigate scientific concepts by observing, experimenting, designing, testing, and reflecting.
Our STEM programme nurtures curiosity, analytical thinking, creativity, and resilience while preparing children for the future.
Inquiry lies at the heart of learning at Sswings. Every unit begins with meaningful questions that encourage children to investigate, research, collaborate, and discover solutions independently.
Interdisciplinary projects enable children to integrate knowledge from multiple subjects while developing deeper conceptual understanding.
Reading and writing are woven into every area of learning. Children regularly explore books, articles, visual texts, and digital resources to build knowledge before expressing their understanding through journals, reports, reflections, presentations, creative writing, and project documentation.
Creativity flourishes when children are free to imagine and build. Our Loose Parts Innovation Lab provides open-ended materials such as wood, bamboo, recycled objects, natural resources, connectors, fabrics, pipes, stones, shells, and construction materials.
